ABOUT US

We make durable sports balls in Kenya, Zambia and Ghana, keeping adults in employment, helping children play, and raising health awareness through sport.

Alive and Kicking balls are hand-stitched in areas of high unemployment in Africa.

Their production keeps 140 people in Nairobi, Lusaka and Accra in full-time work.

Each of our staff supports an average of six people with their wage, meaning we directly support a community of over 800.

More than half of our stitchers have never been in formal employment before.

The majority of our balls are sold through African retailers, including Nakumatt, Shoprite and Game.

Our leather balls have been proven to be twice as resistant to puncture as the usual synthetics and can be customised with logos and messages.

That’s why organisations like UNICEF, UEFA, Arsenal and Coca-Cola have used our balls for their projects across dozens of African countries.

All of our leather balls are individually screen printed by hand. It allows us to create customised balls for individual and corporate clients, including UNICEF, the Red Cross, Arsenal and DHL, to name a few.
